Peter Pan (1953) Concept piece of Wendy Darling, John Darling and Michael Darling. Peter Pan was Blair's final feature and the artwork which she painted for the film can be looked upon as her creative crescendo! Here we see John, Michael and Wendy as they take to they air and embark on their journey to Never Land. Each of their tiny silhouettes is beautifully highlighted by the moonlight as if they were so close to the moon that they could touch it. The homes below them have taken on quite an unvarying design suggesting that the place that the children are headed is going to be a much more magical. The concept is highly stylized in a monochromatic blue palette. While this color is often associated with a "blue mood" this piece in contrast boasts the cheerful emotion and whimsy of the film. This piece measures 7" x 9".
There is evidence of a pin hole towards the edge of each corner, outside of the image, which can be easily matted out..
The size of the image is 3" h x 6.75" w. US$ 8500 (unframed) WDAPP10
