Song of the South (1946)
Storyboard of Brer Rabbit and the Tar Baby.

Brer Rabbit is feisty as ever in this fantastic storyboard from the Tar Baby scene of Song of the South. Here we see him with his hand on his hip as he leans forward to give the Tar Baby to the count of three before to say hello or else he is going to punch him “wiiiide open.”
The actual storyboard measures 6' x 8.25" while the animation paper measures 7.75" x 9".

The storyboard is stapled in each corner to the backing paper. There are pin holes in the black paper toward the corners, which is quite common for this type of artwork.
