Saludos Amigos (1943)|
Concept piece of Donald Duck.
Saludos Amigos marked Blair’s return to Disney after leaving the studio for “domestic life.” This fun concept from the Lake Titicaca section of the film shows Donald roaming the market place of the village.
As visible in the web image, slight age-toning has occurred to the paper and there is paper loss of 0.5" x 0.5" to the bottom peg hole. There are some minor tears along the edges; 0.5" halfway across the upper edge with surface paper loss of 0.5" x 0.75", tear of 0.25" between the top two peg holes and 0.5" between the middle peg holes, 0.75" at the upper left corner, and 0.5" halfway down the left edge. There is evidence of multiple pin holes located at each corner and along the upper and lower edges. As pinning up work for evaluation was often part of the creative process, this is fairly common for this type of work. Piece exhibits slightly more than normal handling throughout.
