The Little House (1952) Concept piece of Little House. Poor Little House left to disrepair as the big city grows and sprawls around him.
The arwork measures 6.75" x 8.25" while image area measures 5.5" x 7".
As seen in the image, there are tiny pinholes in each of the extreme corners of the board. Since pinning up work for evaluation was often part of the creative process, this is fairly common for this type of artwork. As visible in the image, there is staining and smudges from handling and age outside of the image area. There are tiny specs of paint loss in the character’s nose and cheek, and in a few areas visible only upon close examination.
