An American Tail (1986)|
Layout drawing of Fievel and the Mousekewitz family.
Inscription along bottom in typeface and pencil reads, " Mama: It'll go away. After a while it will go away."
The typed caption is affixed to the drawing with clear tape and there is a 0.5" tear to the lower edge and below the word “It’ll”. There is evidence of multiple pin holes at the upper corners. As pinning up work for evaluation was often part of the creative process, this is fairly common for this type of work. This piece was trimmed into five sections and assembled together via tape in the back with areas of tape visible by the upper left corner. There is a 0.5" tear located halfway down the left edge and a 0.25" tear between the middle and right peg holes; these can be easily matted out. As visible in the web image, there is a vertical crease down the right side of the piece. The piece exhibits slightly more than normal handling along the left and lower edges which is common for studio production material.
The size of this piece is 16 Field (13"x16")
