A Coach for Cinderella (1936)|
Master set-up of An Elf, a grasshopper and some bugs.
The cel has been trimmed of its peg holes to measure 8.75" x 11.5". The background artwork measures 7" x 9.75" and painted on 9.5" x 12.25" art board.
The cels are taped halfway across the upper and lower edges to the background; this can be easily matted out. There is evidence of slight lifting in the grasshopper's ear, face and leg and in the shadow under the characters. There is very slight lifting in the smaller black bugs. As visible in the web image, there are areas of paint loss in the grasshopper's thigh, upper right foot, and near his right cheek and specks of loss in the grasshopper's torso, front and back legs, and front feet with a miniscule speck of loss in his left ear. There is a speck of paint loss in the head of one small black bug and in the chest of another. There is evidence of very slight line wear in the character’s faces and the grasshopper’s back left feet. There is evidence of multiple staple holes and pin holes along the upper margins of the background which can be easily matted out. There is a tinge of color change along the lower edge of the background with areas of darkened tape residue near the corners and within the margins; these can be easily matted out. Located 3.5" above the lower right corner and 0.5" to the left of the right edge are faint red markings with miniscule spots of surface paper loss to the background.
The size of the image is 4.5" h x 5" w.
