Keith Haring Character drawing. Haring was able to push his youthful impulses toward a singular kind of graphic expression based on the primacy of line. He was determined to devote his career to creating a truly public art form, often carrying social messages. Between 1982 and 1986, Haring produced more than 50 public works in dozens of cities all over the world. His simple drawings of rapid, rhythmic lines became the backdrop of New York City subway stations, a tribute 100th year anniversary of the Statue of Liberty, an exterior mural for a children’s hospital in Paris, France, and an American landmark on the western side of the Berlin wall--just to name a few. The frame measures 11" x 14" while the artwork measures 3.75" x 5.5". Framing was done prior to its arrival at WWA thus the list price is reflective of the art only--the piece comes with the frame pictured. There is no change in price due to the frame--it can be de-framed upon request at purchase but will not change the price of the piece.
