The Blessed Event (1963) Production cel of Wilma Flintstone and Pebbles Flintstone. Wilma Flintstone, proud mother and modern Stone age woman, is the master of multitasking. Here we see her holding her new baby Pebbles in one hand while driving and peddling her prehistoric car. This cel is a great example of the juxtaposition of the ancient and the modern that made the Flintstones an instant hit in the 60’s and an enduring success today. The cel is on a hand-prepared, non-production background. As seen in the image, this is the scene of Wilma bringing Pebbles home from the Hospital in what is reported to be the most popular and most watched Flintstones episode ever. It has the alternate title of "The Dress Rehearsal", as Fred spends a large deal of the episode 'preparing' for the baby and all that happens. The frame measures 20" x 22.5" while the aperture measures 9.5" x 12". Framing was done prior to its arrival at WWA thus the list price is reflective of the art only--the piece comes with the frame pictured.
