Mostly renowned for his backgrounds Earle created for Disney feature films like Sleeping Beauty and Lady and the Tramp, Earle had a career spanning nearly 70 years. He first exhibited his artwork in France when he was just 14 and went on to have his paintings and artwork collected and revered throughout the world. He has work in the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s permanent collection, and has had major shows and one-man exhibitions all over the world.
In 1996, Earle wrote: "For 70 years I've painted paintings, and I'm constantly and everlastingly overwhelmed at the stupendous infinity of creation...Art is the search for truth."
The majority of Earle’s original artworks focus on the landscape of California, predominantly the central coast. In this magnificent piece, he’s captured the setting light sprinkled amongst the trees and we see the artist's mastery at creating depth through the rolling hills disappearing quietly into the distance.
The piece measures 20" x 16" with the frame measuring 34" x 30.25". Price is reflective of the art only--the piece comes with the frame pictured. There is no change in price due to the frame--it can be de-framed upon request at purchase, but it will not change the price of the piece.
Comes with WWA Certificate of Authenticity. There are splatters of paint along the top of the inner and outer frames only.
