How The Grinch Stole Christmas (1966)|
Production cel with matching drawing of The Grinch.
The frame measures 34.75" x 18.25" inches while the apertures measure 12" x 9.50" inches each.
Both the cel and the drawing are signed by Chuck Jones.
There is evidence of some handling in the drawing, with two creases, one of 1.50" inches and the other 1/2" inch, to the left of the character. There is some very slight crinkling in the paper along the edges, which is not uncommon for production material of this kind. In the cel, there is a tiny 1/4" inch hairline crack in the paint in the Grinch's right thigh, with a small amount of mottling in the same area. There is evidence of some slight linewear throughout, namely in the Grinch's face and hands.
Framing was done prior to its arrival at WWA thus the list price is reflective of the art only--the piece comes with the frame pictured. There is no change in price due to the frame--it can be de-framed upon request at purchase but will not change the price of the piece.
Signed by Chuck Jones.
